Thrill: An Effective Ally for Catering Services

Among the clients who have chosen Thrill, today we present Spuma, an innovative catering company born from the collaboration of three young founders aimed at revolutionizing catering services.

Your company does not deal with traditional catering, but rather with exclusive events that combine food and mixology and is defined by you as "food, style and entertainment." How did this business idea come about? What are your company's distinctive specialties?

Spuma was born in the world of catering from the “Una Finestra Sul Lago” restaurant in Carate Urio on Lake Como in 2020. The idea began with the three founders all under 30… Glauco Noseda, Nathan and Jacopo Martignoni with the aim to achieve the three levels of a successful restaurant:  high quality of the cuisine, excellence of service, and a fresh and authentic experience. Spuma wants to represent a new frontier in the catering and banqueting service. Unlike other companies, in addition to providing high quality ingredients, we also focus on materials, equipment, people, design, innovation and customization which are the cornerstones of our company.

The custom services that Spuma offers go beyond the basic F&B aspects which also includes the design and presentation of the bar stations. The creativity and inspiration behind Spuma's vision has led to the creation of exclusive bar stations in bamboo, marble, and slate, where craftsmanship and avant-garde combine with taste and are suitable for any location and need.

Spuma believes innovation has two components: human and culinary. Human resource is the engine that allows the Group to function.  The more motivated, stimulated and happy, the staff the more satisfied the customer which leads to a more successful event. The fuel instead comes from the very high quality of our food and drinks.  These combined with the detailed workmanship that we constantly seek provides the best possible product and service.  Spuma innovation comes from combining two elements…simplicity and complexity.

Spuma offers complete customization of services which include high quality F&B proposals that include for example unique trays, porcelain and bar counter. We work closely with the customer and our event managers and chef to satisfy the customers desires and develop a suitable menu and presentation. This is how we accommodate and satisfy all our client's needs.

How to face the challenge of combining food and mixology in events with large numbers of guests?

The biggest challenge is to understand the customer’s needs and expectations then designing an atmosphere that creates the proper vibe.  We offer tailor-made services and strive to create unique events for all our customers. Our true success is having good logistics and a solid team that works together and gives the project passion and energy.

Was there a recent event that stood out in particular? Can you reveal some details to us?

At the end of 2023 we went to Paris for the wedding defined by the media as "The wedding of the century". The event lasted several days and Spuma was responsible the entire beverage service for both the pre-wedding event along with the wedding day services. We started from our headquarters in Como with a team of waiters and bartenders numbering a total of 60 professionals. The success of our work was based on both the qualitative factors and carefully selecting and preparing the beverages that would be served.   We cannot forget the importance of the staff that managed to have a perfectly positive attitude while conducting themselves in a professional manner suitable for this type of historic event.

How did you prepare for such a prestigious event?

We prepared for months and when the time came, we were ready!

Among the various setups, you also used our THRILL JETs for bar service. How did you find out about THRILL and how did it contribute to the success of the event?

We met Thrill through a restaurateur friend who was already using this product. In addition to being a useful tool for creating tailored drinks, it is also well known and helped to create an attraction for customers that added a level of excitement.  Thrill created a definite celebratory “WOW” effect which was perfect for the occasion.

Any advice for those new to the world of catering?

Our advice is to be as innovative and creative as possible. Almost all catering has a very traditional style worldwide.   Our goal is to bring innovation, creativity and panache.
